Safari Portal was designed and created by a team of tour operators with deep experience in the industry - we have been where you are now! We know your pain and we set out to very thoughtfully create solutions for some of our most challenging pain points: namely, to be able to create really beautiful, fully customizable itinerary proposals and detailed travel plans that can accurately reflect not only our personality and expertise but also the attention to detail and energy that we put into each and every trip that we plan.
Safari Portal digital itineraries can be fully customized to be completely on-brand, using your own brand fonts, colors, and styles, so that the itineraries you share feel like you. Your guests can access everything they need in a super easy to use app, and you can make live edits even from your phone on the go. Possibly the best part is how quick and easy it all is - itineraries can be created and individualized in minutes. Truly: this is where design meets efficiency.
We are also not just an itinerary builder! Safari Portal offers a full end-to-end solution that streamlines your entire operational workflow in a seamless and easy way handling client payments, custom forms, task and contact management, and more!

Yes! Your guests receive complimentary access to our amazing traveler app, Travel Portal, where they can find all their itineraries, Lookbook™ proposals, Guest Portals, and documents offline in one place, all available at their fingertips! The Travel Portal app is available on both Android and Apple devices via the Google Play Store and App Store.
Safari Portal also offers the option to have your own custom app available in app stores. Your guests can download an app that features your company name, logo, brand fonts, colors, and styles, fully tailored to reflect your brand identity. -
Loading content into systems has often been a slow, painful process, so it’s natural to feel daunted by the idea of re-entering everything into a new platform. The good news is that with Safari Portal, it’s remarkably quick. Thousands of users have already migrated their content with ease—and are now building itineraries much faster than before.
If your content is already organized in a spreadsheet, you can import it directly into Safari Portal along with your images. Beyond that, our intuitive inline editor makes it simple to drag and drop or copy-paste images into the platform, and text can be pasted just as quickly. You can also take advantage of Safari Portal’s built-in AI to draft polished descriptions of properties, areas, activities, and more.
You’ll also find that the quality of images and content already available in our Content Library is extensive and world-class. Every page can be customized so you can individualize it for your brand and needs. Safari Portal is designed to make your life easier, not harder.
If you’ve been working with static PDF itineraries, Safari Portal gives you options: use our Magic Import tool to parse your existing itineraries into editable Safari Portal itineraries, or simply upload a PDF and add an intro note and flight details—so your guests can still enjoy the convenience of accessing everything through the Travel Portal app while traveling.
Finally, if you’d like extra support, we offer custom set-up packages where our content team can build the assets you need so you’re ready to hit the ground running from day one.
-
Yes! You can generate a simple and clean, print-friendly PDF either with or without images. You can also generate a Word document in either portrait or landscape format, and this is of course editable once generated.
It’s also possible to have a custom-designed Word output so that even the printable version of your itineraries and proposals is fully on-brand.

Safari Portal pricing starts at $199/month and goes up depending on your specific needs. The Starter Plan starts at $199 per month and offers access for one user to the Safari Portal Content Library, inline editor, and unlimited Lookbook™ proposals. Most users opt to start out on a Tier I plan, which is $299 per month and includes unlimited itineraries and access to the app. Tier II unlocks two more user seats (three in total) and use of the Guest Portal functionality where you can collect guest information like passports, health & dietary, contacts and more, as well as custom itinerary links with your own company name in the URL for a polished and professional look.
We also offer add-on features if you need additional seats, invoicing and financials solutions, white labeling (so that you can apply other companies’ logos & contacts to the itineraries you create), language translation, and custom APIs.
-
The Safari Portal API is able to connect to some quotation systems so that you can build a quote for a trip and at the same time generate a Safari Portal itinerary link by simply clicking a button from within that system. We already have existing API’s available to Tourplan & Pink Elephant, and others have connected to Sugati and custom quotation platforms. Usually, all service items in the quotation system need to first be mapped to the content pages in Safari Portal, which is a relatively quick set-up and only needs to be done once.

Yes! There are two ways to manage your contacts within Safari Portal if you are currently using a third-party CRM for this. The best way would be to bulk import your contacts into the built-in contact management module within Safari Portal. Our "Contacts" tab allows you to easily track your clients' travel history, preferences, contact information, relationships, and more.
If you prefer to stick with what you are using currently for contact management, you can do that too. We have an amazing (and super easy) Google Sheets integration that automatically adds all client information collected within the system to a running Google Sheet. From there, it is possible to use something like Zapier or Integrately to automatically pull that information into almost any CRM of your choice.
-
Yes! We have a stand-alone Contact Management module that allows you to collect and manage client information including passports, dietary preferences, travel history, contact details, and more. If your guests come back and travel with you again, you are able to pull their information (and information of their past travel companions) right into their new trips with a single click. You are also able to share any information with partners as needed with one click.
-
Safari Portal doesn’t currently include a built-in quoting tool. That said, you can still build your itinerary in the platform and with one click export all line items into a Google Sheet that’s pre-formatted with pricing formulas. You can also add quote details directly to the Costs page of any itinerary proposal to share with potential guests.
For invoicing and financial management, Safari Portal does include a built-in Financials solution. This allows you to quickly generate client invoices, collect payments, and track supplier payments and overall profitability—all in one place.
-
Oh, yes! We offer a two week free trial with dedicated support to make sure you have a chance to fully explore all the special features before making any decision.
After the trial, you have the option to sign on to start paying month-to-month and can always move to an annual plan to take advantage of a “Pay 11, Get 12” one month free offer (applicable only on certain plans).
-
Yes! It is possible to use Safari Portal in other languages, in one of two ways:
You can either create your proposals in English (or the language of your choice), and allow your guests to instantly translate the digital itinerary into their preferred language by clicking on the translation widget once they receive the itinerary.
Or, you can create content in your Content Library in any language you like, and pull those pages into your itineraries and Lookbook™ proposals. You can also configure the language for default texts like dates and any pop-ups.
The Travel Portal app itself and the guest forms are all localized as well, meaning they will pick up the language from your phone’s device settings.

So many questions! Yes, we can do all of this for you as part of a set-up package. We can use your custom fonts, colors, and styles to make everything you create and share through the platform feel like a natural extension of your brand. Costs start at around $1,000 depending on the level of customization you require and the number of rounds of revisions. The process typically takes about two weeks but can be done quicker if you require expedited service.
Custom templates don’t work backwards, meaning you must start from your custom template first to use it, and they don’t affect the PDF or Word versions (though it is possible to also customize the Word export if needed).

Yes! Safari Portal's Task Manager is a game changer. It allows you to easily manage all your tasks so that nothing falls through the cracks. It's also really easy to assign tasks to other members of your team and to create and utilize email templates to save time.
-
The magic of Safari Portal is that it has SO much capacity for customization that you can find a multitude of ways to make your itineraries look & feel unique. You can choose your own images, use your own unique pages and copy, and present your itineraries using different layouts and modules.
And of course the ability to have your own custom itinerary template means that while you may be using Safari Portal as your backend, the digital links you share feel like you, and nobody else.
